Maestro's Work Defines a Generation

The concert is dedicated to the memory of an incredible, passionate teacher and mentor, Ksenia Jiqia. Arts Honorable of Georgia, a director of Balanchivadze College of Music in Tbilisi, Georgia for 45 years, maestro Jiqia dedicated her entire life to teaching and raising extraordinary gifted kids.

Raised money were donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, The Hematology – Oncology Center in the Iashvili Children’s Hospital in Tbilisi, and the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel

Among her students are world-renowned musicians, Otar Tatishvili, Medea Paniashvili, Roman Gorelashvili,
and many other now famous composers, teachers, conductors, pianists, and musicologists, who have shaped modern Georgian and world musical diversity.
